L2 Support Technician
Job Description
Andromeda is on the hunt for talented self-starters who aren’t satisfied until the job is complete. As a key member of a 10–12-person service department, you’ll be responsible for troubleshooting client issues as they come in. Your mission: get the client back up and running efficiently, effectively, and with top-tier customer service. We’re looking for a jack-of-all-trades tech with a love of teamwork and a thirst for knowledge.
About You
Who: An experienced IT professional — PCs, laptops, servers, routers… you speak their language. You live for solving the big problems.
What: At least 2 years of experience in an MSP or corporate environment. You don’t mind the occasional password reset, but you’re hungry for the big-league tickets.
When: Available to start sometime between now and the next 90 days.
Where: You must be local to the Chicago metro area. This role is hybrid, with Tuesdays and Thursdays onsite in our Lockport, IL office, and the remaining days remote.
How: With your natural talent and experience, you crush almost every ticket that comes across your desk. You also have the communication skills and composure to handle those “my hair is on fire” emergency calls.

Your Team
You’ll be a key member of a 10–12 person service department and a go-to teammate within your Pod, which includes:
- 2-3 Field Techs
- 2-4 Other Remote Techs
- 1 Escalation Tech / Team Lead
Skills Needed:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Server OS (2008 - 2019)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Workstation OS (XP - Windows 10)
- Advanced support for Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Adobe software
- Strong hardware, software, and Layer 1–3 troubleshooting
- Ability to manage the “hot client” when things go sideways
- A track record of getting stuff done — rain or shine — no excuses
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365
- Ability to read through ticket history and quickly identify next steps
